Metal Slug is one of the games on which I spent probably half of my childhood! XD No, seriously, it is one of those games that is very dear to me and I believe to many others of my generation and one of those that remind me of childhood, and this vehicle being one of the most ferocious of things in the game series we all so enjoyed driving (shooting from).
As reference official blueprints on SV-001 model I found on MetalSlug Wikipedia were used and other similar arts of the same vehicle.
The whole model was done in Autodesk Maya, the UV maps were made using the plugin Headus Layout, while the texturing was fully created in Substance Painter and the whole scene has all in all 5 materials, 5 different UV maps. The 3D vehicle itself has 220k polygons, and I wasn't thinking on it one bit, just thoroughly enjoyed the creation process and experimenting with the colors, materials, and the scene. All in all it was done like in week and I am very happy with the outcome.
